For your well-founded work with interval hypoxia training.
IIn this online course, the basics of Interval Hypoxia-Hyperoxia Therapy (IHHT) or Interval Hypoxia Training (IHT) are deepened and supplemented with additional topics. The online course consists of 16 lessons as well as exclusive access to the monthly Q&A workshop with Dr. med Egor Egorov.
Among other things, participants will learn about the complex effects of hypoxia training on the human organism and how they can create individual training protocols with the help of various tests. They will learn how to best adapt IHHT/IHT to the requirements of different patient groups and/or indications. Using examples of curves, they will learn how to recognize whether the training settings have been selected correctly or whether adjustments need to be made.
Entry requirements:
There are no requirements.
We recommend the online course "IHT Basics" for all those who have no previous experience of working with interval hypoxia training. Basic medical knowledge and initial practical experience with IHHT/IHT are helpful.
Course contents
- The different levels of action of hypoxia and the adaptation of mitochondria, cells and organs
- Presentation of the most important transcription factors such as HIF-1-alpha, Nrf2, NF-kb
- The effect of hypoxia on the two most important metabolic pathways AMPK and mTOR
- The gene expression of HIF-1-alpha on e.g. EPO, VEGF, GLUT and IGF
- IHT in combination with CO2 treatments
- Standard protocols or customised settings? A consideration of the advantages and disadvantages
- Findings from science and practical experience on the most effective training settings
- Determining the training intensity on the basis of various tests (e.g. breath-hold test) and laboratory values
- Training planning for special patient groups (e.g. post-Covid, Lyme disease, elderly people)
- Using the training curve to recognise perfect training, incorrect dosage, influences and illnesses, for example
- Evaluation criteria and tests for effective IHT/IHHT
