Course Information
This module focuses on the effects of Intermittent Hypoxia-Hyperoxia Therapy (IHHT) and Intermittent Hypoxia Training (IHT) on autophagy and various metabolic pathways as described in scientific literature.
The main focus is on autophagy as a cellular self-cleaning process and its regulation via key signaling pathways such as AMPK and mTOR.

Based on selected research studies, the module presents how IHHT/IHT has been examined in relation to the activation or modulation of these processes. The aim is to provide a thorough understanding of the underlying biological mechanisms and to explore scientifically documented links between hypoxic stimuli, autophagy, and metabolic regulation.

Key Topics:

  • Fundamentals and function of autophagy

  • Overview of relevant metabolic pathways (e.g., AMPK, mTOR) and their role in cellular regulation

  • Research-based findings on potential effects of IHHT/IHT on autophagy

  • Connections between hypoxic stimuli, cellular energy supply, and metabolic processes

  • Discussion of scientific perspectives on prevention, training, and wellness

Admission Requirements:
No prerequisites.

Language:
German

Target Audience:
Professionals and interested individuals from medicine, therapy, training, wellness, and health-conscious communities who wish to learn about the research-based effects of IHHT/IHT on autophagy and metabolic pathways.

Certificate/Proof of Participation:
Confirmation of participation

Instructor:
Dr. med. Egor Egorov, expert in hypoxia research

Note: This module is intended solely for informal educational purposes. It does not provide therapeutic qualification, practical application instruction, or any state-recognized training.

Includes free access to the HCC Academy monthly “Expert & User Workshop”
This monthly ZOOM session offers an open space for exchange, questions, and experience-sharing related to intermittent hypoxia training, photobiomodulation, CO₂ applications, and other health-related approaches.
The workshop is held in collaboration with Dr. Egor Egorov – on the last Monday of each month.

What to expect:
  • Direct dialogue with Dr. Egorov on individual questions, experiences, and insights
  • Input from current developments in practice, research, and applied knowledge
  • Opportunity to connect with other participants
You will receive your personal access link after activation of the informal online modules via the menu item “E&A Workshop”.

Note: This is an informal educational offering. It does not provide therapeutic qualification or systematic training in any form.
